Kiki's Current Obsession...

Surprisingly, my obsession this week has nothing to do with lace or pink! I have a new found style obsession that I just can't get enough of: Festival Fashion! Fringe, lace, rocker tees, denim cut-offs, tie-dye, studs, and hippie sunglasses everywhere! Spring/summer is definitely festival season, from the famous Coachella to Edmonton's own Folk Fest, and I love it. Everything and anything goes when it comes to festival fashion, and even the most outrageous outfits make me swoon. I love the mismatch of patterns and materials! Just so unique and cool!

This week, to go along with my festival fetish, I am obsessed with the Ella Moss "Rosa Floral" top! With the fringe and bright floral pattern, I can just picture it with a pair of denim cut-offs, retro sunglasses, "western" ankle booties, and a giant floppy hat! Add a slouchy cross-body bag to complete the look, then throw up a peace sign, jam out to some "Neon Indian" and head out to the festivals!

Madison Marcus

Madison Marcus just sent us two beautiful lace tops! As you can see below, the tank and the shirt were both paired with denim shorts; however, the best thing about these tops is that they are easily dressed up for an evening out. Whether these tops are worn dressy or casual, the femininity and elegance in them stands out. You can count on Madison Marcus to give you a top that is none other than stunning!

What's Mabel Wearing???

Mabel has always been a social butterfly, and today, on this gorgeous Saturday, she has plans to go sit on a patio, and enjoy a few cool drinks. On trend as always, Mabs is wearing the Maison Scotch "Chino Shorts" in Neon Orange paired with the "Laze Top" in White from Madison Marcus. I love the contrast of the crisp white top against the neon shorts, sooo chic. Chan Luu jewels and a Doma suede jacket finish off this perfect summer ensemble.

Free People

Button Up Spellbound Top in Hot Coral

Just in from Free People is this whisper of a top, the "Button Up Spellbound" in Hot Coral. The crinkled texture of the fabric, along with the double "military" pockets gives this top a casual, yet edgy feel. My favourite detail is the tulip styled back...so pretty!!!

What's Mabel Wearing???

Mabel is excited for the up coming shopping party on Thursday, so she's decided to dress the part this week. We always look forward to this time of year; it's so much fun to mingle with all of our regular customers, and it's a great excuse to wear something a little more dressy/girly. Mabel is looking fun and flirty in Joie's "Trudey Dress" in Caviar. I love how this dress can easily be dressed up or down; Mabel's cool jewels from Claudia, and Chan Luu Scarf make this ensemble perfect for Thursday's event...all she needs are a pair of black booties, and she'll be ready to shop till she drops!

Traveller's Fashion Diary

Weekend Getaway:

Some of you may be headed out to the cabin for the long weekend, but don't know what to pack. Since the lake is very laid back and casual, I put together 3 outfits that will keep you comfy, and out-doorsy, but of course, still showing off your great sense of style!

This first outfit is for when you're just about to head out to the lake amidst running last minute errands. I kept it simple starting with a pair of 7FAM "Crop Josephina" capris and a Wilt "Boxy Shirttail" tee in Vapor. I added a Chan Luu brown and blue scarf, and Ugg "Elyza" flip flops. I chose not to add jewelry to this outfit, but if you're the type that feels bare without any,  I recommend wearing a Chan Luu wrap bracelet because they're durable enough for water exposure, not to mention super easy, and casual to wear. This outfit is perfect for the errands before, car ride out, and cooler day at the lake!

Once you've arrive at the cabin, if it's a nice day, you're going to want to wear shorts and a tank top. Why not embrace the start of a new season? I put together the perfect outfit for a warmer day at the lake, and one that could easily be worn throughout the summer. I paired the C&C "Hi-Lo Racer Tank" in Desert Sand with 7FAM's "Roll Up Shorts" in Baywater. I kept the same Ugg "Elyza" flip flops with this outfit...after all, who needs 8 pairs of shoes at the lake? These comfy flip flops will keep your feet happy, and you going strong for the whole weekend.

This last look is for the evening when temperatures cool, and camp fires get going. I put together a sweatpant outfit, but kept it fairly fashionable for those of you who always like to look your best! I put Lauren Moshi's "Farrah" sweater with Ella Moss' "Liza Pant" in Silver. These comfy sweatpants are super comfortable, yet still feminine because of the color and shimmer. Again, I used the Ugg "Elyza" flip flops with this outfit.

Camp fires, swimming, and sun are just around the corner, are you ready for the best days of the year???

Overseas Travel:

For those of you jetting off to exciting destinations, packing can seem like a daunting task. How are we suppose to choose between all of our amazing clothes? Which pieces to take, and which pieces to leave behind? What if an essential item gets left behind? Oh, the stress of it all...sometimes I wish I could just bring everything, yet paying extra for an over weight bag can definitely sting. Here are a few outfit ideas to inspire, and hopefully make packing a little less painful.

The first look is a mix of comfy and casual/chic, perfect for the long hours spent curled up in your airplane seat. I have never been one to wear sweatpants when flying, instead I choose my favorite, and in my opinion, most comfortable pair of 7FAM skinnies. I paired them with Nation Ltd.'s "Coral Gable Top," a pair of Samra flats, and a Chan Luu scarf. I never travel anywhere without one of these soft cashmere/silk beauties wrapped around my neck as it doubles as a pillow, or blanket; it is the perfect travel accessory. Finally, I chose the Brave Leather "Tabatha Bag"...not too big, not too small, just right for carrying all of the essentials.

So, you've finally landed at your destination, wahoo! Now it's time to change out of those travel clothes, and go see the sights! For this outfit, I chose pieces that were comfy, yet versatile enough so you will be looking stylish no matter what situation you find yourself in. To start, I chose the oh-so-comfy Samra flats, as you most likely will be doing some walking. I then chose the 7FAM "Cropped Skinny Pant" in Light Coral, and paired them with  Joie's "Edaline Top." A feather printed Chan Luu scarf, and the "Mini Mac" in Teal finishes off the look. No need to look like a tourist when your traveling, this outfit will have you turning heads!

This final look is a little more dressy, perfect for exploring the night life. The Chan Luu "Beaded Tank" is definitely a statement piece! Pair it with 7FAM 's "Roxanne" in New Rinse and you're ready to hit the town! For shoes, I chose the Ash "Divina" booties, the hidden platform makes these super comfy; you definitely don't want sore feet ruining your fun. Jocelyn Kennedy jewels and a Brave Leather clutch complete the look.

It's not difficult to look fabulous while travelling, whether you're just headed to the cabin for the weekend, or jetting off to new worlds, Yu Fashion has you covered! Happy Travels!

Botkier: "Ziggy Satchels"

The Botkier "Ziggy Satchel" bags may seem like a deja vu, or blast-from-the-past for some of you. We have recently marked them down, and before I tell you by how much exactly, you may need to be sitting down, so if you're standing, grab a chair, and read on. We have marked them down by more than 65%!!! Can you believe it?!? These bags are the perfect everyday bag; they have lots of space, come in amazing neutral colors, and are a practical purchase that you can feel great about! Have a look below at the different colors and sizes we have left:

You may ask: Is it April Fool's Day? A practical joke? It's not, but just a treat for all of our customers! With a deal like this, some would say these bags are "practically free!" :)

What's Mabel Wearing???

I'm dying over Mabel's outfit this week; neon stripes, and lace shorts, what a great combo!!! This outfit is so easy and chic, definitely an outfit I could easily live in all summer long. I love the idea of pairing the girly, lace shorts with a more casual top; the contrast between the two pieces really makes the outfit a standout!

Paige's Pick

As you know, we recently received Rebecca Minkoff bags in a variety of colors: from neons, to pastels, we have them all. But now, with only three "Mini Mac" bags left, Neon Pink, Teal, and Denim Blue, the stakes are high to get the one you want! Instead of building outfits before adding accessories this week, I thought I would change it up, and base my outfit choices on the "Mini Mac" bags. From conservative to daring, I've captured three very different looks below to help you decide which "Mini Mac" bag is right for you!

This first look was inspired by the Teal "Mini Mac." I started off with Joie's "Felix Top" in Porcelain, paired with 7FAM "Skinny Crop & Roll" light denim capris. I added a Maison Scotch "Dyed Denim Inspired" blazer in Military, and Samra flats in the "Burnished Disco Patent" pattern. Finally, I added Karyn Chopik and Jocelyn Kennedy necklaces to complete the outfit. This simple, and easy to wear outfit looks amazing with the "Mini Mac" Teal bag; adding a bright color to such a neutral outfit completes the look, and gives it a stand out quality.

This next look was inspired by the Denim Blue "Mini Mac." The color of this bag in particular can easily be incorporated into any outfit making it the perfect bag to throw on when you're running out the door. I decided to use patterns in the outfit to make it more interesting; I used a Graham and Spencer basic white tee, and Soft Joie's "Redmond" skirt in Black and White Ikat. To accessorize, I used a Chan Luu skull scarf in Navy and Black to bring out the color of the bag, a grey Agate necklace, and Ash's "Jalouse Booties." Any boho girl would love this look, not to mention the "Mini Mac!"

Shades of...neon?! This look was inspired specifically from the "Mini Mac" Neon Pink clutch. I thought it would be fun to build an outfit based entirely on neon colors. I started with the Funktional "Breezy Crop" shirt in Cobalt, and a pair of AG "Stilt" Neon Yellow pants. To finish off, I kept the accessories neutral and understated choosing the Ash "Jalouse Booties," and a Chan Luu multi-chain necklace. If you're daring enough to try this outfit, you can always add either a black, or white tank top to break up the colors a bit. Bright, bold, and brilliant is in, so why not take advantage of one of the hottest trends right now and be the "highlight" of the party???

LOVE!!!

There is definitely a reason why Vince has remained a customer favourite all these years...they seem to know how to cut a piece of clothing "just right," taking it from ordinary to extraordinary!!! The "Drawstring Skirt" in Boulder is a prime example of this; though uncomplicated in design and structure, there is nothing simple about the way it hugs, and drapes around the body. I love the idea of this skirt with a basic white tank, denim jacket, and worn in booties...LOVE!!!
