Traveller's Fashion Diary

Weekend Getaway:

Some of you may be headed out to the cabin for the long weekend, but don't know what to pack. Since the lake is very laid back and casual, I put together 3 outfits that will keep you comfy, and out-doorsy, but of course, still showing off your great sense of style!

This first outfit is for when you're just about to head out to the lake amidst running last minute errands. I kept it simple starting with a pair of 7FAM "Crop Josephina" capris and a Wilt "Boxy Shirttail" tee in Vapor. I added a Chan Luu brown and blue scarf, and Ugg "Elyza" flip flops. I chose not to add jewelry to this outfit, but if you're the type that feels bare without any,  I recommend wearing a Chan Luu wrap bracelet because they're durable enough for water exposure, not to mention super easy, and casual to wear. This outfit is perfect for the errands before, car ride out, and cooler day at the lake!

Once you've arrive at the cabin, if it's a nice day, you're going to want to wear shorts and a tank top. Why not embrace the start of a new season? I put together the perfect outfit for a warmer day at the lake, and one that could easily be worn throughout the summer. I paired the C&C "Hi-Lo Racer Tank" in Desert Sand with 7FAM's "Roll Up Shorts" in Baywater. I kept the same Ugg "Elyza" flip flops with this outfit...after all, who needs 8 pairs of shoes at the lake? These comfy flip flops will keep your feet happy, and you going strong for the whole weekend.

This last look is for the evening when temperatures cool, and camp fires get going. I put together a sweatpant outfit, but kept it fairly fashionable for those of you who always like to look your best! I put Lauren Moshi's "Farrah" sweater with Ella Moss' "Liza Pant" in Silver. These comfy sweatpants are super comfortable, yet still feminine because of the color and shimmer. Again, I used the Ugg "Elyza" flip flops with this outfit.

Camp fires, swimming, and sun are just around the corner, are you ready for the best days of the year???

Overseas Travel:

For those of you jetting off to exciting destinations, packing can seem like a daunting task. How are we suppose to choose between all of our amazing clothes? Which pieces to take, and which pieces to leave behind? What if an essential item gets left behind? Oh, the stress of it all...sometimes I wish I could just bring everything, yet paying extra for an over weight bag can definitely sting. Here are a few outfit ideas to inspire, and hopefully make packing a little less painful.

The first look is a mix of comfy and casual/chic, perfect for the long hours spent curled up in your airplane seat. I have never been one to wear sweatpants when flying, instead I choose my favorite, and in my opinion, most comfortable pair of 7FAM skinnies. I paired them with Nation Ltd.'s "Coral Gable Top," a pair of Samra flats, and a Chan Luu scarf. I never travel anywhere without one of these soft cashmere/silk beauties wrapped around my neck as it doubles as a pillow, or blanket; it is the perfect travel accessory. Finally, I chose the Brave Leather "Tabatha Bag"...not too big, not too small, just right for carrying all of the essentials.

So, you've finally landed at your destination, wahoo! Now it's time to change out of those travel clothes, and go see the sights! For this outfit, I chose pieces that were comfy, yet versatile enough so you will be looking stylish no matter what situation you find yourself in. To start, I chose the oh-so-comfy Samra flats, as you most likely will be doing some walking. I then chose the 7FAM "Cropped Skinny Pant" in Light Coral, and paired them with  Joie's "Edaline Top." A feather printed Chan Luu scarf, and the "Mini Mac" in Teal finishes off the look. No need to look like a tourist when your traveling, this outfit will have you turning heads!

This final look is a little more dressy, perfect for exploring the night life. The Chan Luu "Beaded Tank" is definitely a statement piece! Pair it with 7FAM 's "Roxanne" in New Rinse and you're ready to hit the town! For shoes, I chose the Ash "Divina" booties, the hidden platform makes these super comfy; you definitely don't want sore feet ruining your fun. Jocelyn Kennedy jewels and a Brave Leather clutch complete the look.

It's not difficult to look fabulous while travelling, whether you're just headed to the cabin for the weekend, or jetting off to new worlds, Yu Fashion has you covered! Happy Travels!
