What's the Queen-in-Training wearing?

While we love all of Mabel's outfits, she only changes once a week, and there is another fashion attention seeker in the store who would prefer to remain anonymous. She is known as "Beauty Queen," or "Queen-in-Training." Today, she's wearing the new "Matty M Kimono" that we just received along with her Rich & Skinny boyfriend jeans, and a massive pearl necklace that only a Beauty Queen could pull off!

We received new Willow and Clay! I love all of these pieces, but my absolute favourite is the crochet vest... so bohemian! I imagine this worn two ways: with bell-bottoms... soo Rachel Zoe, or with denim shorts... very Nicole Richie! Which look do you prefer???

What's Mabel Wearing?

I'm a huge fan of all the soft pastel colors this season, and this week, so is Mabel. Combining different shades of pinks and creams gives Mabel's outfit a romantic feel. Mabel is wearing the "Crochet Vest" in Natural from Willow and Clay, paired with the Nation "Jamaican Tank" in Faun. A Chan Luu scarf, and a combo of Karyn Chopik and Jocelyn Kennedy necklaces finish off the look. Can't you picture Mabel walking down a beach at sunset?....*sigh*.

Crop French Sweater

This cute little sweater from Free People is super comfy, definitely something you want to throw on when it's cold and wet outside, like it's been all week. The lace inserts on either side of the sweater give this sweater a more feminine feel; throw this on with a Chan Luu scarf, and you're all set to face a cold spring day.

How to Layer Chan Luu...

All Yu girls wear Chan Luu; they are the best bracelets ever! They look so good layered, here are Diane and Fay's assortments today. I love Fay's turqouise combination...perfect look for the summer! Diane did a bunch of brown earthy tones, along with gold and silver bangles...I love the combination of both the organic and bling.

Tips for layering:

1. This is the most important, you CAN mix gold and silver. Women ask us this everyday, I love mixing... it looks much more interesting.
2. The bracelets just need to go, they do not need to match. As long as they are the same tones, or the colors go, you can totally wear them together. I love the combination of coral and turquoise in the summer; they don't match, but they go together. You can easily pile on turquoise, coral, and wooden bracelets for a great summer look.
3. Don't think about it too much, have fun with it! It looks best this way.

Summer is definitely the time to have fun with color. After months of dark winter colors I know we are all dyeing to put on something bright. This week Mabel is wearing a bright sea foam green tank from Graham and Spencer paired with a Doma leather ( I'm loving this color on Mabel, sooo summery!!).

Maxi dresses are everywhere this season and can be found in all different fabrics and prints. Initially, Mabel was a little skeptical about the maxi, however this week she has decided to give it a try....and she is obviously rocking the look! The Jovie dress in "caviar" from Joie is super soft and sooo easy to dress up or down. Mabel has paired the maxi with a Mackage leather and a Chan Luu scarf for a boho chic look.

This dress is incredibly comfy, and super easy to wear. I think it'll be great paired with a denim jacket, and Chan Luu scarf...the perfect weekend outfit!!!

We received this particular top in Oasis, the most beautiful blue...I love this colour paired with browns, camels, and taupes. Try wearing this top with a pair of cargo pants, and wristfuls of jingly-jangley gems...oooh, perfection!!!

We received new summer styles from Rich and Skinny, and I just LOVE the Sunbleach wash. We have mentioned numerous times that the boyfriend jeans are the summer essential, and this wash is perfect for the season. My favorite jeans are the "Sunbleach Legacy;" I have been looking for a pair of light, ripped skinnies, and these ones are PERFECT. They are super comfortable because of the stretch. I am wearing them with my Wildfox Drama Queen Tee and a floral blazer...I think I look pretty cute today... if I do say so myself.

I'm really liking the grouping we just received from Matty M. We received a "Silk Blouse Top" in Cream/Black, and a "Sequin Top" in Pearl. The "Silk Blouse" has a boxy fit with a flared, pleated sleeve... super cute!!! I think this top will look fabulous with a pair of super skinny jeans, and sky-high platforms. For those of you who love a little sparkle, the "Sequin Top" will not disappoint. It has a relaxed fit, and can be worn off the shoulder; it would look super cute paired with boyfriend jeans.
