We've mentioned time in and time out... it's ALL in the details. Nothing rings more true than when the luxe details typically associated with that of an uptown style intersects with the raw edginess of downtown's.
We LOVE this look as it is unexpected, yet completely practical. It takes a nod from many current trends and flawlessly blends it into one. Turtleneck sweaters have been around forever; even through the many waves of fashion, they have remained true. However, this staple has seen a resurgence in recent years and has never been STRONGER. Pictured we have Iro's "Dalos Sweater" that touts a chunky, textured knit (another look we're seeing), with added accents of distressing throughout.
With this as a perfect base, nothing is more perfect than fur this season. Playing with lush details of lined fur and trimmings in outerwear, the boojee colour of burgundy drives the argument home. Tied into this element, embellishments such as the rhinestones on SENSO's "Jamie I" provide yet another dimension of richness.
Mixing and matching is HUGE! But who would have thought that polished, refined, and an ambience of luxury colliding with street style--casual, distressed, and undone made for a WINNING combination? Like we say, it's ALL in the details, and opposites do attract.
