Style Highlight: Always In

We've seen it everywhere... shades of Bordeaux gracing the magazine covers, coveted by fashion enthusiasts, and hitting the floors of our favourite boutiques. Bordeaux (think wine, burgundy), has become such a popular colour that it has, without fail, made an appearance every Fall and Winter. 

Pictured above, we love the idea of this colour on a leather medium, which we don't see everyday. Its rather matte element lends itself as a great foundation to build on other styles such as partnering with what we think is a TIMELESS staple: leopard print.

Animal print has always been popular but the exotic allure of leopard has been warmly embraced by the likes of Dolce & Gabbana, Isabel Marant, and Dries Van Noten. The Holy Grail of prints, leopard is something we'll never tire of. We're especially seeing this on coats and blazers that instantly transform an outfit to the NEXT LEVEL. From leather, faux fur, to velvet, options are endless and while we are completely for this print on other variations (leopard loafers, anyone?), we strongly suggest the beginner leopard wearer invest in a coat. Why? For the new fashionista on the block, a leopard coat is an easy, nearly fool-proof way to wear this style.  Incorporate it with a laid-back style such as a white tee, dark jeans, and ankle boots and you're set! The key is this look is as bold as you make it.

Layered underneath is also a HUGE YES this season: embroidery. Styled in the For Love & Lemons "Dove Embroidery Mini Dress", this beauty boasts delicate details consistent with the oriental-inspired designs we've seen on the runway, a contrast to its embroidered denim jacket and sweater counterparts.

Blending in all these components makes this ensemble stand on its own, effortlessly. Feminine, romantic, yet balanced out with an edgy, chic feel, this never-going-out-of-style look can't get more STUNNING!
