Matchy coordinates are making a HUGE comeback these days which makes getting dressed a whole lot simpler for those who don't have the time or energy to spend on deciding what to wear each and every morning. Whether it be a solids or prints, a top and skirt combination, or, like our previous post, a pant suit, there is a coordinated set for every taste and every one.
Don't let its simplicity fool you though, there still needs to be some thought and effort put into styling such an outfit to keep it from looking dowdy and unimaginative. If anything, while the "base" is provided in these sets, the accessorizing of such an ensemble becomes that much more important. Without the perfect accoutrements, something that has the potential to be a showstopper stops just shy of being boring. For example, the picture above showcases FLL Knitz's "Delancey Set" in Vintage Rose, a lovely coordinated set consisting of a textured crop top and high-waisted pencil skirt. While lovely on its own, the set appears that much more striking with the addition of Unreal Fur's "Silver Lining Vest" in Grey, Joie's "Jemina Boots" in Taupe, and, our personal favourite, Armour's "Glamour" necklace. All these accessories collectively elevate the entire look. The texture of the vest and sparkle of the necklace adds desired dimension to the overall ensemble; it would not be nearly as interesting without.
Similarly, a leather jacket and moto boots added to a coordinated set of any variety would give it heft and edge while a fur jacket, statement necklace, and platform heels would invoke an element of glamour. As with most things in fashion, it is ALL in the details, so while these "sets" do provide somewhat of an outfit "jump start", it is NOT, nor should it be, a lazy day solution.
