Hopefully summer is right around the corner, as we just received a shipment of awesome shorts! This week, I put together 6 outfits for all the YU girls, and what I think would be their perfect summer look. These are their short stories:
Fay:
Fay's ideal summer time short look includes leather, booties, and big jewellery. Her look starts off with "Pixie" AG denim shorts that I've paired with a basic white James Perse tee under Mackage's "Onella" black leather jacket. To complete the look, I added one of Fay's favorite jewellery lines into the mix: Chan Luu. I used a Turquoise ring, long multi-chain necklace, and everyone's favorite leather wrap bracelets. For shoes I chose Ash's "Jalouse" booties, which are the perfect pair of shoes to finish off this edgy yet casual look. You can also swap the leather jacket for a denim one in either navy or white for a lighter look. Want a cool look for summer but don't know where to begin? Just ask Fay- she'll put together something you never would have thought of!
Diane:
Diane's outfit is the perfect pick for those of you who like to dress in a very feminine way. Her "Allover Broderie Anglaise" shorts by Maison Scotch were the first piece I chose out of the entire outfit, and they're what inspired the rest of the dressy yet girly look! To go with the shorts, I chose Joie's "Balsa" tank in Porcelain and Melissa "Patchuli" wedges in Black. The accessories of this outfit finish off the look perfectly, tying together all the pieces to make a very classy, sophisticated look. I used Catherine Popesco crystal strand necklaces, not one but three, House of Harlow bangles, and a Swarovski crystal "Bling Band" bracelet. Finally, I added Rebecca Minkoff 's "Cupid" bag in Black...does this look not scream Diane???
Jessie:
Jessie's short's are the brightest of the bunch, and are perfect for adding a pop of color to your outfit! I put together this outfit starting with the new Maison Scotch "Chino" shorts, and paired them with FP's "Wilded" top. The Doma "Cropped Suede" jacket in Sand is perfect as a little topper, and gives this casual outfit a more polished finish. For shoes, I chose a pair of bronzed Samra flats. Finally to accessorize, I added a Karyn Chopik necklace, Chan Luu wrap bracelets, and an Avant Garde crystal ring. This look is great for summer and keeps casual looking cooler than ever!
Paige:
My outfit is great for a hot summer day (hopefully one will be here sooner rather than later...)!!! I chose 7FAM's "Roll-Up" denim shorts for my perfect summer short. I added the Mackage "Tank with Lace" top in White to give the shorts a complimentary, simplistic look. For accessories, I used a couple Chan Luu wrap bracelets and a Britta beaded bracelet in turquoise. For the last item, but for sure my favorite, I chose the Ash "Jalouse" booties. They make this outfit a little more fashionable, but keeps the outfit casual and simple, my favorite kind of look!
Kiki:
Kiki's look is for sure one of my favorite looks out of all of these! Her outfit started off with the Free People lace "Scalloped Shorts"in Black. I chose the Functional "Lace Panel" tank top to go with them...tucking in the tank would be perfect for this look. I kept this dressed up look simple, only using a few pieces to accessorize. I added a Linea Pelle "Dylan Zip Clutch" in Black/Amethyst, "Dune" Ash booties, and Catherine Popesco earrings. This outfit is easy to assemble, and easy to wear. Simply great!
Jordana:
Once a YU girl, always a YU girl!!! Jordana's laid back sense of style never fails a fashion test. I chose AG's "Ex-Boyfriend" shorts in 15 Yr. Soft to start off with, pairing it with a Lauren Moshi "Bridgit Swing" tank, and the "Waffle Knit Cardi" in Cinnabar by Maison Scotch. I also added some Tai and Chan Luu bracelets...there wasn't enough room on the hanger to put all the bracelets you would have liked to have worn with this Jordana!!! Finally, I chose the Ash "Jalouse" booties to complete this look. This casual yet trendy look would have anyone feeling comfy and fashionable!
The End.
Bravo Paige! You nailed all the girls "personalities" loved it.
