Vince Oversized Pocket Sweater

We just received the Vince "Oversized Pocket Sweater"... and I'm in LOVE. This sweater is definitely on my wishlist for fall! It is cashmere, and super soft!! I could honestly wear this sweater everyday in the fall. I think it would look great with jeans, and even over a dress!! This sweater is going fast, so if you are interested, visit us soon!!

New Joie!

We just received a new shipment of Joie! The "Avina Plaid Dress" in Bison, the "Saunders B Tank" in Silverfox and Porcelain, and the "Calabasas Ruffle Top" in Greystone.

The Avina Plaid Dress is my favourite piece in this new shipment. It will be so perfect for fall... I can already imagine wearing this with a leather jacket and biker boots, or an oversized cardigan and riding boots! This dress also looks great belted if you wanted to highlight your waist. 

We received the Saunders B Tank in an awesome grey leopard print, I love this top! Leopard print is a huge trend for fall, so this is an easy way to incorporate a fall trend into your wardrobe. I also love the fact that it is a GREY leopard print... it adds a nice twist to the typical animal print...which is usually done in brown. 

The Calabasas Ruffle Top is soooo pretty; I love the romantic vibe it gives off with the ruffles! One of the biggest trends for fall is the ladylike look, so this top would be a subtle way to experiment with this look.

Madison Marcus

More silkies have arrived from Madison Marcus! The "lash" top (on the left) is perfect for a girls night out. I love the fun print, and the sequin detail on the shoulder is so glamorous! This top would also be perfect for day, just wear a long/short sleeve shirt underneath to make it more casual. The "Array" top ( on the right), which we have in Steel, has sheer gauze insets at the shoulder giving the top a distressed look, which is a big trend for fall. Pair this shirt with your favorite pair of cargo pants, and slouchy boots for the perfect fall outfit!

These have to be my absolute favourite ballet flats for so many reasons. Number 1: they are comfortable. The wide elastic prevents digging at the heel, which causes blisters. Number 2: they are cute. I love the simple design. Number 3: they easily fold up into your purse. We just received a bunch of new colours, and I love every single one of them...they go with absolutely everything. These flats are available in a multitude of colours: Crackled Pewter, Pewter, Charcoal, Taupe, Chocolate, and Black. New Rich & Skinny Legacy

You have probably figured out that we are obsessed with Rich & Skinny here at Yu Fashion. Honestly, their styles and fabrics make you feel "rich and skinny!" One of our favourite jeans, the Legacy Jegging, now comes in black! This is a perfect option to those who are uncomfortable wearing leggings, as they are a slim fit that will easily tuck into a boot come fall. Also, the fabric is so comfortable on; they are thin and super stretchy, so you will be wearing these jeans at least once a week! Drop by and try them on.

Autumn Cashmere

I am so excited that Autumn Cashmere has arrived at the store. Autumn Cashmere is known for their luxurious cashmeres that are extremely well made and comfy!! My new favorites are the Striped Boxy Button Back and the Dolman Double V. I love the carefree look of both styles, both of these sweaters look great thrown over anything. The Striped Boxy Tee is genius, you can undo the bottom buttons to make the sweater appear more voluminous or undo the top buttons to make the sweater off-the-shoulder. The Dolman Double V will be the go-to sweater of the season because of its softness and ease, seriously, I will want to cuddle up with this sweater on a fall day! 

UGG BOOTIES!!!

We are ABSOLUTELY thrilled that Ugg has come out with a great fashion clog bootie called "Lynnae". The clog is here to stay, and being Uggs, you get the coziness that they always offer. Imagine, fashion and comfort together...what a novel idea!!! These "clogs" have a leather exterior, and are lined with sheepskin; they can be worn with the flap rolled up and/or down... thinking ahead, they'd look great worn with your favourite skinny jeans!!! These aren't going to last, so come in and check them out NOW!!!

ALERT! ALERT! New VELVET!!

OMG!!! We just got a HUGE shipment of Velvet today! There is so much amazing fall stuff, I cannot contain myself! We have not even unpacked all of this stuff yet.. so pictures will follow shortly! There is lots of great dresses and some pretty cool lace tanks!!

P.S. We got a replenishment of all the Velvet basics, long sleeved and short sleeved, drop by because the sizes go fast!!!

What's Mabel Wearing????

This week Mabel is showcasing the new Winter Kate Jasmine Cardy in Ivory, I love this jacket! The feather print is unique, but not a pattern overload! I decided to put a Splendid racerback black tank underneath to make the pattern pop underneath. I think this print looks effortless layered with a simple top. I then added the Claudia denim beads to Mabel, and topped it off with a Chan Luu grey scarf. I think the look is bohemian, but still subtle enough to wear as an everyday outfit!

Uggs!

I know its not Ugg season yet, but now is definitely the time to go out and buy this super comfy boot. Come September/ October sizes will be picked over and you might just miss out! Luckily we just received a huge shipment and my fav new pair is the Bailey Triple Button boot. I am in love with the button detail! We also received the Classic tall and short Ugg boots in chestnut, grey and black, Cardi Knit boot in charcoal and grey, and the short Bailey Button boot in chestnut. Uggs are the perfect fall/winter boot come in and check them out while we still have lots of sizes and colors (these boots go fast!).

New Arrivals!!!

It seems like fall shipments are starting earlier this year, but I really can't complain, I love seeing all the new clothes!! Today, we received pieces by Juicy Couture and Vince. I love the new Chiffon Back Cardigan in Still Night, which is a navy color. But, we will be getting it in black too (as pictured). This cardigan is adorable and adds a girlie touch to any outfit! It looks really cute over a tee shirt or a silk tank. I had the navy cardigan over a striped tee and it looked super cute!! The Paisley Chiffon Tank arrived in Huckleberry and is such a beautiful print, which will be great for fall with jeans and a cardigan.

We also received the Vince Double Layer Drape Sweater in Thunder, I love this sweater! It is so cozy and soft because it is lined, making it two layers! This is on my wish-list for fall, I think I would wear it on every fall day with pretty much everything I own!!!

Winter Kate is HERE!

At last, new Winter Kate has arrived! All three styles that we received are stunning and are so easy to wear! The Jasmine cardy, in ivory, has a feather print and an asymmetrical hem ( longer in the front and shorter in the back). This cardigan drapes beautifully, and I love the feather print. The Ginger cardigan also has the same fun feather print but comes in a dark grey/blue. The sheer silk-chiffon cardigan is light and breezy and is a great piece to wear on a hot summer day. However, I think the darker color will transition perfectly into the fall season. For those of you who missed out on the Eden jacket the first time around we received this kimono style jacket in black! This silk jacket will fit easily into anyone's wardrobe and is a great alternative to the typical black cotton/wool cardigan. 

New Today!

We JUST received new Graham & Spencer and Velvet sweaters! The cashmere Velvet sweaters are super soft, seriously, I hope it gets colder so I can have a chance to wear one! We got the two styles: "Idra" in Charcoal and "Conesa" in Feather. Both styles will be great for fall, and work with the rest of your existing fall wardrobe. The Graham & Spencer shredded sweater is also super cool...such a unique piece. I would pair it with a white tank underneath, and skinny jeans... total rocker chick. The Graham & Spencer has to be my favorite piece of the shipment! I am in LOVE!

What's Mabel Wearing????

This week Mabel will be enjoying the sunshine in her off-white Mai Joie dress. I love the floral print on this dress, and the colors in it are perfect for fall!  We have Mabel dressed for summer, but the Mai dress would also transition into fall with the addition of tights, boots, and a scarf!

I made the look more bohemian by adding two Chan Luu necklaces, along with the brown woven Brave belt. The Mai dress looks great belted, but looks just as great left more flowy! Seriously, Mabel looks like a celebrity, all she needs is a Balenciaga bag, big shades, a floppy hat, and she might be mistaken as Nicole Richie!

The Kimmie Jean

We are all big fans of 7 For all Mankind jeans, and they have created another version of their boot cut jean that we have fallen in love with.  The boot cut jean is modeled after Kim Kardashian who is notorious for her curvy figure (and fabulous bum).

Most of us have experienced the annoying gap that occurs in the back of our jeans and either have to get them tailored or wear a belt, but this jean has a higher waistband in the back which eliminates gaping! The jean is also super stretchy which makes them really comfy. These are the perfect curvy girl jean. Come in and give them a try (your bum may just look as good as Kim's)!

Vince Cargo Pocket Leggings

The Vince Cargo Pocket Legging has to be my favorite pant for fall, and I admit I have even worn them on a hot summer day because I love them so much! The cargo pant is a huge trend, and Vince intreprets the trend in a simple and classic way. The cargo legging is not blantantly obvious, so they will become a classic staple in your closet. All you need to do is add a pair of boots, and you will have the perfect fall outfit!

Another plus, they have to be the most comfy pant I own! The cargo legging is higher waisted, giving you extra coverage. Seriously, I think everyone should drop by and try these pants! They will not dissapoint! Also, Vince will no longer be making any of their ponte pants, so this will be your last chance to buy a pair!

Amanda Uprichard

We have just recieved the Joan dress by Amanda Uprichard in lavender. Amanda Uprichard is a new brand we are carrying in the store, and this is our first piece! The Joan dress is adorable with a flattering fit, this dress would be perfect for a summer night out! The lavendar color makes it unique from any of your LBDs. If you find the dress a little too short for your liking, you could easily make it a tunic by pairing it with leggings! New Cargos

We were anxiously anticipating the James Jean Twiggy Cargo Leggings, and they're finally here!!! They are amazing: butter soft feel, with a higher rise! Also, we received the Rich and Skinny silk cargos, which are so cool, and a huge fall trend! Stop by, and check them out before they are gone!

What's Mabel Wearing????

An anonymous reader requested that Mabel wear a piece of clothing 2 ways: dressed up and dressed down, so here it is! The piece we chose to showcase is the off-white Joie Simonie top. As you can see, this is a very versatile piece, all you need to do is change up the jewellery! For casual, Mabel is wearing the top with a Jocelyn Kennedy wooden necklace along with a Karyn Chopik leaf necklace. For dressy, Mabel is wearing a double strand pearl necklace layered with a pearl russian necklace by Jocelyn Kennedy, a Claudia crystal necklace and a silver medallion necklace. 

Fall is in the Air...

So, I know that it feels like we've barely had summer, but Fall is just around the corner. Because of this, you've probably noticed cashmere and wool goodies making an appearance amidst all the summer sales of the season. Here, at the store, we've already received a number of "Pre-Fall" deliveries...one of which came from Vince. Vince, a favourite line of ours, is probably best known for their luxe basics. So far this season, they've put forth some great "transitional" pieces: the Twisted Seam (left) and Cashmere Trim Dolman (right)sweaters. Both of these pieces are made from the finest cashmere and/or wool, making them the perfect purchase; they're neither too heavy nor too light...just perfect actually!!!
