FP: Patterned Beauties

We're SUPER excited over Free People's most recent delivery, but, then again, we always are!!! True to form, there are soooooooo many fabulous pieces, but somehow, we managed to narrow things down to a few of our favourites...

"Ration Print Tunic" in Indigo Combo

 

I'm totally loving the "Ration Print Tunic" in Indigo Combo! Its mixed pattern print, along with its overall slouchy fit practically SCREAMS summer; while it looks lovely paired with distressed, light-washed skinnies, I can't wait to see it with denim shorts and gladiator sandals...perfect for a summer musical festival, no?!!

"Patterned Kimono Cardi" in Black Combo

Something else I'm completely obsessed with is the "Patterned Kimono Cardi" in Black Combo. I LOVE everything about this particular piece: its fit, feel, and pattern. For the "hippie at heart" fashionista, this knitted beauty will be the perfect topper to any outfit!

AG: Edgy Black

"Legging Ankle" in Emerse

SO in love with AG's "Legging Ankle" in Emerse, a worn-in black wash, with strategically placed "shredded" detail for an edgy, rocker vibe. To play this up, pair with a leather jacket, graphic tee, and motorcycle boots; for something sexier, a boyfriend blazer, lacy cami, and pointed toe pumps should do the trick. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE these, so will you!

DOMA Does It Again...

"Leather Jacket w/ Detachable Hood" in Black

Once again, DOMA hits it out of the ballpark with their signature "Leather Jacket w/ Detachable Hood" in Black. This year, this moto inspired topper is done in beautifully "washed" (lambskin) leather for a worn-in, much loved look and feel. Pair this jacket with a striped tee, your favourite skinnies, and a floral printed scarf for a Mabel emulated look :)

Mackage: Spring Toppers

I don't know about you, but I LOVE a fabulous trench. It's a wardrobe "MUST" for every fashionista, is it not?!! Mackage's "Darby Trench Coat" in Black and "Inessa Trench w/ Leather Sleeves" in Navy has me in somewhat of a pickle...which one should I get??!

How AMAZING is the "Darby"??? This cotton trench with lambskin cuff tabs and inner collar features an over-sized (and removable!) hood, and Mackage's signature asymmetrical zip closure, ALL details that give it an edgy, updated feel. SOOOO cool!

"Inessa Trench w/ Leather Sleeves" in Navy

For something a little more classic, the "Inessa" is an obvious choice. Not "boring" in the least, this double breasted trench coat features partial leather sleeves, slant pocket detail, removable belt, tortoiseshell buttons, and an inverted pleat, back vent.

Mackage: Leather Beauties

Mackage is to blame, at least partially, for our leather addiction as of late :) It's impossible to resist when they keep producing such lovely things. Just added to the floor are the "Nuri" and "Noelia", both available in Black.

"Nuri" in Black

The "Nuri" is your classic, slim cut blazer with notch collar, frontal welt pockets, and underarm knit detailing for added stretch and comfort. Being lightweight, this jacket is great on its own or layered under a heavier coat for added warmth, definitely a must for the leather connoisseur.

"Noelia" in Black

Similar to the "Nuri", the "Noelia" also has knit underarm detail, but, this particular jacket features a raw edge, cascade collar giving it a more feminine vibe. For added impact, pair this "pretty" jacket with a graphic tee and heavy chain necklace for the perfect mix of girly and edge.

"Violca Leather Skirt" in Black

We're SO loving Mackage's "Violca Leather Skirt" in Black! This flirty little number features a universally flattering A-Line silhouette, zip closure in the back, raw edge hemline, and is made of the softest lambskin leather. It looks fabulous with a classic tee and pumps, but would be AMAZING with a plaid button down shirt, ankle booties, and statement necklace, or, for something extra cozy, how about an over-sized, slouchy knit, tights, and motorcycle boots?!

We are head over heels in LOVE with Splendid's "Sweatshirt Maxi Dress" in Heather Grey! This dress is great all year round and feels exactly like your favourite t-shirt. The frontal leg slit keeps the dress looking elegant rather than frumpy; we can definitely see this stylish number paired with simple gladiator sandals, perfect outfit for long, lazy days at the cottage this summer!

"Cashmere Blend Cardigan" in Marzipan/Heather Grey

How cozy does Splendid's "Cashmere Blend Cardigan" in Marzipan/Heather Grey look?! It's an absolute wardrobe essential, and the perfect transition piece to wear from winter to spring. The lightweight and relaxed fit makes it great on a chilly night tossed over a casual tee, jeans, and velvet loafers.

"Relaxed Cotton Track Pants" in Medium Wash

Splendid's "Relaxed Cotton Track Pants" in Medium Wash are the perfect casual take on trousers!!! They have the perfect amount of stylish slouch, and feature a mid-rise, elasticized waist as well as zippered ankle cuffs. We see these pants looking absolutely fabulous paired with a classic tank, black leather vest, booties, and chunky statement jewels on neck and wrists!

What's Mabel Wearing???

Miss Mabels been on CLOUD 9 with all our new spring arrivals, and is especially loving all the fabulous leathers! This week, she's sporting Doma's "Leather Jacket with Detachable Hood" in Black over James Perse's super comfy "Mini Striped Pullover" in Heather Grey. For added oomph, shes decided to throw on a floral scarf, and necklaces by both Chan Luu and Shakti as well as Rebecca Minkoff's "Mac Daddy" in Electric Blue. Now, our girl is cozy, stylish, and ready for whatever crazy weather this week brings!

"Della Parka" in Khaki

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Mackage's "Della Parka" in Khaki!!! This feminized utility jacket features a hi-lo hemline, frontal patch pockets, exposed gold hardware, tortoise shell buttons, and a leather trimmed, detachable hood. This is a great layering piece; fabulous with a turtleneck sweater, skinnies, and boots on a cooler day, and, with a classic tee, boyfriend jeans, and converse sneakers once the weather warms up.

Leather leggings are all the rage right now, and as you've already surmised, we're OBSESSED with leather around here!

 We're super excited to welcome the "Navi" back to the Mackage family, and introduce our Yu fashionistas to the "Miki", both made from soft, supple lambskin leather with varying zipper detail, and available in "rocker" Black. We've done A LOT of research on leather leggings, and found that compared to others, these are the most affordable option for a pair of fab leather skinnies!

These leggings are perfect paired with a silky tank and stilettos for a night on the town, or, with a chunky sweater and booties for an edgy, everyday look!

"Slim Western Denim Shirt" in French Blue

It seems every week we have a new denim shirt to blog about, AND, with good reason!!! As far as we're concerned, they're a wardrobe essential :) 7FAM's "Slim Western Denim Shirt" in French Blue is perfection worn with shorts and/or skinny jeans, OR, haphazardly thrown over a floral printed dress and booties.

This top is great for its lyocell content: you get the "look" of denim, but the drapey fit and feel of a classic, silk blouse.

ASH: Just In...

Just in from Ash are the "Jalouse" in Platine and Cookie, and "Janis" in Taupe and Black; the former, an ALL time favourite, and latter, soon to be as well!

The "Jalouse" in Platine are definitely for the trend driven fashionista! The metallic finish on these classic booties give them an updated, modern feel while the almond toe and chunky heel offer its wearer supreme comfort and stability. I'm OBSESSED over the "Janis", obsessed!!! I love everything about them: the peep toe front, back zipper detail, and, obviously, the surround fringe accent. These are unbelievably, indescribably FABULOUS!!! Not only would they be amazing with a leather jacket, graphic tee, and skinny jeans, but, they'd be TO DIE with a kimono jacket, drapey tank, and cut-off, denim shorts!

Looking for a cute, flirty dress for spring??? Ella Moss just read your mind!

 Their new "Taylor Embroidered Dress" in Natural is GORGEOUS and definitely fits the bill!!! The embroidered texture coupled with sheer, mesh detailing makes for an unforgettable dress. The fit and flare silhouette also makes it super flattering and feminine.

I ADORE both, and can see either with distressed skinnies and ankle boots now, and with lived-in, denim shorts and gladiator sandals later. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE these!!!

"Rancher H Oui Oui Tee" in Porcelain

As noted in previous entries, we're obsessed with linen tees, particularly those from Joie, so imagine our excitement when we received the "Rancher Oui, Oui Tee" in Porcelain!!! It has ALL our favourite elements rolled into one: linen feel, perfect fit, cheeky graphic. This is the perfect top to wear under your favourite blazer, skinny jeans, and booties. Is this tee worthy of a spot in your closet?! "Oui, Oui," but of course!!!

"Ayana Silk Tank" in Dark Navy

Joie deliveries are always FULL of beautiful things; one of my favourites this go around is the "Ayana Silk Tank" in Dark Navy. This slip of a shell is incredibly pretty and feminine; the higher than usual neckline offers something different, while the keyhole opening in the back offers a hint of sexiness, and, did I mention it had a ruffled rear hem?!! Totally TO DIE FOR!!! Pair this top with leather-like skinnies, pointed toe pumps, and ears and wrists FULL of golden baubles!

Joie: Addicted To Navy

In my opinion, there are few things chicer than a crisp, linen blazer, and when said blazer is available in Navy, even better!!! Joie's classic "Mehira Blazer" in Dark Navy is one of this season's absolute MUST-HAVES! This slim fitting jacket with notched lapels and three pocket detailing is the perfect accent to a simple tank and jeans outfit. For something edgier, pair with a graphic tee or printed blouse, skinnies, and ankle boots.

"So Real Skinny" received in Caviar and Fatigue

Once again, Joie keeps churning them out, and we keep eating them up!!! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the "So Real Skinny", this time, received in Caviar and Fatigue. These second skin cargos are perfect  anytime of day: with a linen tee and flats for a casual option, or, with a leather jacket, silky tank, and lace-up stilettos for a dressier alternative.

James Perse: Bottoms

We're HUGE fans of James Perse bottoms!!!

Just in are the "Mid Length Mini Stripe Skirt" in Heather Grey and "Vintage Cotton Genie Pant" in Black! They're both incredibly comfortable and versatile. Both pieces would be fabulous paired with a basic tee, leather jacket, and converse sneakers...wedge ones, if you want to be "dressy" :)

James Perse: "Dressy" Top?!!

James Perse's "Relaxed Drape Front Top" is TO DIE FOR!!! It's unbelievably comfortable, and the sheer draping in the front is absolutely STUNNING! In my opinion, the thing I like best about this top is its versatility; it can be worn both casual and dressy.

You'll definitely make use out of this great "EVERYDAY" top!

What's Mabel Wearing???

Today, Mabel's tuning into her glamorous side, and has decided to pile on ALL her favourite jewels!!! The turquoise and gold of her Chan Luu, Julie Voss, Jocelyn Kennedy, and Catherine Popesco necklaces look absolutely STUNNING layered together. As for her outfit, she decided to keep it simple yet stylish with Vince's beautifully cut "Frayed Edge Scuba Jacket" in White over their "Drape Hem Tank" in Black. She tops off her ensemble with Rebecca Minkoff's Black "Mini Mac with Studs", and is ready to take on the weekend in her A-M-A-Z-I-N-G outfit!

It's A "Happiness" Kinda Day!!!

 

HOORAY!!! We've received an amazing new delivery of graphic tees from our favourite sassy line, Happiness Brand. These "cheeky" and ironically accurate tees are unarguably comfy, and are sure to liven up a pair of jeans and leather jacket! I especially LOVE the "Tonight I Will Behave" baseball tee (below), which would look super cute worn with destroyed skinnies and slouchy moto boots!

Velvet: Linen Tees

Who doesn't love STRIPES??? Who doesn't love LINEN tops??? We LOVE them both!!!

In our most recent delivery of Velvet, we received tanks and tees that combine our two FAVE elements: Linen and Stripes!!! As you can see, we're SUPER excited about them, and would question anyone who wasn't!

We received our favourite combo in three fabulous variations: the "Demi Tank" in Black, "Niva Tee" in Denim, and "Brownie Top" also in Black. We love all three, but are particularly fond of the "Demi" and "Niva". All are extremely comfortable and lightweight, great pieces to be had for spring and summer.

At last, a HUGE shipment of Lauren Moshi goodies for us Yu fashionistas! There are SOOOO many amazing styles to choose from, everything from Superman logos to diamond crosses. My two personal faves are the "China Color Superman Pullover" and "Edda Biting Lip Tee", both in White. The former has rips and tears along the edges for a lived-in, well-loved look while the latter is a tad more refined; pair either with destroyed skinny jeans and ankle boots for an edgy, yet laid-back outfit.
