What's Mabel Wearing???

Mabel is "Shining Bright Like A Diamond" this week, as Rihanna would say. She has on Ella Moss' sequin "Cleo" blazer in Black, Wild Fox's "Ms. Monroe Tee" in Ceramic, and has added to her look Rebecca Minkoff's "Mini Mac" in Neon Pink and bling from both Claudia and Catherine Popesco!!! In my opinion, this outfit is the perfect combination of girly and edge. This would be amazing worn with black leather pants and either a pair of black booties or stilettos...perfect for an evening out on the town with the girls.

What girl wouldn't love this look? We think her t-shirt says it all!!!

Ella Moss

We're ALL dying over Ella Moss' "Roslyn Dress" in Rosette!!! Can you blame us? Everything about this dress is fabulous, from its bustier-like top to its high low hemline. I love the look of it paired with ankle booties...very unexpected and sooo current!

 

Wouldn't it be a great option for an office Christmas party? We think so!!!

OMG!!! I'm sooooooooooooooo DYING over HOH's "Talon Crystal Cuff" in Silver!!! Seriously. The talon detail typically wouldn't appeal to me at all, but add the crystal encrusted balls and you've got me swooning...love this bracelet mixed in with all my other jingly jangly gems!

Paige's Pick: Retro Throw-Back

Chaser is back at YU Fashion! After it's hiatus, we've decided to bring back the brand due to popular demand. Chaser was founded in LA, and is probably best known for their rocker-retro, graphic shirts. A great part about this budget friendly brand is that the shirts will NEVER go out of style, in fact it gets even better with age!!! This week, my pick was inspired by these tees; have a look below at the looks I put together!

I love this first outfit! It incorporates some of the hottest trends of the season: leather, colored denim, and motorcycle boots. I started with Chaser's "Deconstruction Tee" in Lilac, and 7FAM's "Skinny" jeans in Port. To add an extra edge to this outfit, I chose Doma's "Washed Lamb" leather jacket and Ugg's "Russia" motorcycle boots both in Black. Finally, I added a long Chan Luu necklace to perfectly accessorize this bold and busy look. This look is perfect for a warmer winter day (since we're all dreaming about one); throw on a scarf and mittens and you're all set!!!

 

 

This next outfit is an everyday, casual look. I started with Chaser's "Boxer Tee" in Vintage and  7FAM's "Skinny" jeans in Blackberry. For accessories, I chose a Charlene K purple Agate long necklace and Ash's "Russia" boots in Black. This look is perfect for a day where getting dressed seems like a total chore, and all you want to do is hang out in something comfy, but still stylish.

 

This last outfit is my favorite of all three! I started with the Chaser's "Deconstructed Tee" in Grey and the 7FAM "Slim Illusion Skinnies." To accessorize, I chose the Ash "Titan" motorcycle boots in Black as well as a Chan Luu long necklace. This look would be finished off perfectly with a black motorcycle jacket!

So, now it's time to go back in time and pretend you're that rock-concert-loving teenager all over again...or on second thought, maybe just stick to Chaser Brand tees!

 

Free People Frenzy

We received MORE Free People gems today, including 2 gorgeous dresses!!!

Third time's a charm (although the first 2 were just as gorgeous), and we finally received the "Floral Mesh Lace Dress" in Black! We died for both the Hot Red and Plum, but when a beautiful dress comes in black...you have an instant classic!

Kiki's Current Obsession...

     I have officially decided that there is nothing fun about November. Halloween is over, midterms are in full swing, and the weather gets ugly; it's basically just a month we have to endure until Christmas season. Oh, and "No Shave November" exists. Ew. Don't get me wrong, I am all for supporting prostate cancer, but aren't there other ways of raising money besides growing gross facial hair?!

     Anyways, to cure my November blues, I've turned to procrastinating on Pinterest! From the best cookie recipe to a cute holiday outfit, Pinterest has EVERYTHING, and everyone has a "Pinterest style," something you would not likely wear out, but just like admiring (and wishing you could pull it off). My Pinterest style is all about "gypsy-chic"...anything carefree, bohemian, and hippie-esque. I wish I could run around with flowers in my hair, barefoot in a flowy maxi dress with bracelets up to my elbows, but let's get real...I'll stick to my knits and dreaming about that version of myself! However, every once in a while, I come across a piece that's a perfect cross of my Pinterest style and my real style!!! We JUST received Free People's "Flower Power Cardi" in Ivory, which fulfills that style cross!!!



 

 

     How gorgeous is this cardigan?! It's perfectly unique and bohemian chic, but not extremely "running-through-a-field-of-daisies" hippie. Plus, it's so versatile; you can incorporate this into your closet no matter your style or season. I'm in absolute love with the royal blue floral print!!! Also, the length is perfect, longer cardigans always seem a lot more gypsy-esque to me. This is truly a unique piece, but one that can be worked quite easily into an everyday wardrobe. It's Pinterest meets real world, and there can't be anything better than your Pinterest closet coming to life!

I love Free People's latest interpretation of the "Moto Jacket," this time with a Navajo inspired tapestry print. The neutral tones in this jacket makes it incredibly wearable...layered over a basic white tank, dark skinnies, chocolate riding boots, and an oversized scarf makes for an enviable outfit! For a more bohemian vibe, don't forget your bangles...loads and loads of them!!!

Joie has really done it now, they've gone and combined my two greatest fashion loves: lace and shine!!! How's a girl to resist?!?

I'm crazy over the "Jenina Lace Tank" in Caviar/Rose Gold. With its soft sweetheart neckline and scalloped hem, this tank will work beautifully under a tailored blazer and cropped skinnies...perfect outfit for an evening out, OR if you're like me, and have collected countless "Fanny" and "Elvia" tops, this tank will be amazing worn underneath any of those!!!

Sooooo excited over the "Marelia Lace Top" also received in Caviar/Rose Gold (pictured in Mushroom/Rose Gold). I love the bow tie detail in the back; it serves as a girlie finish to an already very feminine blouse...ADORE. To inject some edge, pair this top with either a leather jacket or leather pants.

Vince

Vince really does NOT disappoint...not ever!!! Just in are two more super cozy sweaters: the "Double V Cashmere Sweater" in Pearl and "V Back Cashmere Sweater" in Crimson.

With its luxe cashmere feel and slouchy oversized fit, this sweater will be a guaranteed "go to" grab season after season. Additionally, its swingy silhouette and neutral colour makes it the perfect topper to all of this season's coloured and patterned skinnies.

I loooove this sweater, everything about it!!! Its scooped neckline coupled with a soft dolman sleeve and v-back detail again makes it an easy grab.

No one does casual chic as well as Vince, do they?!?

What's Mabel Wearing???

Mabel's inner ANIMAL is on the loose!!! Shes combined Rebecca Taylor's "Python Henley" in Sienna with Dolce Cabo's rabbit fur vest, a playful combination of animal inspired pieces. For accessories, Mabel chose necklaces by Catherine Popesco and House of Harlow, as well as, Rebecca Minkoff's gorgeous "Mac Daddy" statement bag in Royal! This outfit is a fashionista's perfect "running around" town look....we just hope the local animals don't get confused, and think she's on the prowl...LOL!!!

We definitely won't be giving animal control a call...this mix totally works!!!

I immediately thought of Fay and Diane when I went to see the "Little Black Jacket" exhibit at the Saatchi Gallery in west London. The show revisits the classic Chanel jacket and demonstrates how timeless a piece of clothing can be. Even though I'm not a fan of Karl Lagerfeld, his photographs of the jacket on a variety of different models and celebrities are absolutely stunning. I love how each picture shows how a person can adapt a piece of clothing to fit her own style. Here's a little peek:
