AG's "Legging Ankle" is my all-time favourite cut of denim, EVER!!! This being the case, you can imagine how over the moon excited I was when we received them in Smitten, a beautiful medium blue wash. These were a no brainer for me, and they should be for you as well.

I swore up and down that I would NEVER ever wear these, that I would NOT succumb to the pressures of fashion, but lo and behold, I've tried them on, and LOVE them...seriously!!! Not only are they ridiculously comfortable, but they're also awfully cute. Coupled with a skinny jean, they actually look very much like a pair of black lace up booties. If you're a wedge runner newbie (like me!), I think it's easiest paired with a classic tee, leather jacket, Chan Luu scarf, and skinnies; however, if you're a style veteran or fashion trendsetter, a graphic tee and printed jeans should do the trick!!!

Mabel's looking fabulous in her latest and greatest ensemble from Rebecca Taylor! Her outfit is a modern take on a timeless classic; the leopard print and leather trim gives this look an edgy feel. Add Fun to Fall with Charlotte Tarantola!!!

Charlotte Tarantola nails the "party cardi" yet again in this new shipment of gorgeous pieces! We'd like to introduce you all to 7FAM's newest body: the "Slim Cigarette." These jeans are essentially a relaxed skinny leg...slim through the hip and thigh, but definitely not a legging. It's shorter inseam gives off a cleaner, more polished look...perfect length for flats, boots, and/or heels.

I love it when we receive Rebecca Taylor; she can always be counted on for something fabulous whether it be a great silk blouse or an incredible dress. Hers is a collection somewhere between rocker chic and girly girl, categories we all belong to in one way or another. The following are some of my top picks:

As many, if not ALL of you know, I adore silk and anything girly, so it should come as no surprise that the "Camille Floral Blouse" in Sand is on the top of my "pick" list. This top would be an easy no brainer for lunch with the girls, or a day of errand running.

Paige's Pick: A Stormy Story

It's that time of year again, you know, the time when the leaves change, the wind picks up, and the coolness of fall sets in - you know, the time we ALL dread. Luckily, with this time of year, comes a very exciting switch to fall clothing: that is, boots, scarves, over sized sweaters, and leather jackets! How can you possibly be sad about the weather now?!? This week's "Paige's Pick" is one of my faves ever; it consists of boots, an over sized sweater, and a scarf! I started with Line's "Divider" sweater in Grey and 7FAM's "Skinny" in Black. I then added the "Kaleidoscope" sweater in Stained Glass (also from Line), and a Chan Luu scarf in Griffin. Finally, to top everything off, I added the Ugg "Gillespie" boots in Charcoal. This outfit could not be any more perfect in my eyes...what a way to face the up coming weather!

 

You can't beat this combination of ultimate comfort mixed with style!

Velvet: Lace

"Pita" Top in Charcoal and "Ocean" Top in Black

Because I have such a penchant for lace, I thought that the following two tops from Velvet deserved a special entry all their own: the "Pita" top in Charcoal and "Ocean" in Black. Aren't they pretty? With the subtle shimmer of the lurex, and scalloped edging of the lace, both tops are utterly delicate and feminine. Either top would be great tossed under a cropped leather jacket, or fitted blazer, and your favourite pair of skinny jeans.

For those of you who follow us on Twitter, you already know that we received our first fall delivery of Velvet last week, and you know what that means?!? DECISIONS, DECISIONS, DECISIONS!!! I feel that this particular delivery will present a quandary for many of you; there are just too many fabulous pieces to choose from! The following are few of my personal favourites:

I LOVE the "Tempest" top (pictured below)!!! Everything about it is delish: the cut, the fit, the draping, the fact that it highlights "mixed media" to perfection!!! I'm absolutely loving this top paired with leather pants; it couldn't possibly get any better!

What's Mabel Wearing???

Mabel's off to Hawaii!!! She just recently purchased an outfit from YU, but realized it would be perfect for those hot summer days, so off on vacation she went! (She was dying to wear it!) Mabel has on the Ella Moss "Marcell Scoop" top in Cobalt, as well as Joie's "Zandra Dress Shorts" in Caviar. She's accessorized with a variety of necklaces from of some of our favourite jewellery designers: Jocelyn Kennedy, Chan Luu, and Claudia. What's the best part of Mabel's outfit? Everything she is wearing can be worn into fall! I know she got spontaneous on us, jetting off to Hawaii for the sole purpose of wearing her outfit, but she's just as excited to come back and wear the "Marcell Scoop" top with a pair of skinny jeans, boots, and a cropped leather jacket. She also can't wait to wear her "Zandra Dress Shorts" with a pair of tights, long sleeve sweater, scarf, and booties. You just can't beat those year round pieces in your closet!

We love stars, and apparently, so does the design team at Maison Scotch! Just in is the "Fancy Star" top in Black...super adorable, and easy to wear. The stars themselves are laser cut into the fabric (NOT a print), so have fun and layer with a coloured tank, OR fabulous bra if you dare!

Jessie's Diary

Greetings from across the pond! I can't believe I have already been in London for 3 weeks; it has been a crazy whirlwind that's for sure! So many things to do, places to see, and stores to browse (and of course, school must fit in somewhere as well). Yu Fashion will always hold a special place in my heart, so I thought a monthly "diary" would be a great way to stay in touch, and share some of my favorite things/experiences.

So, for those of you who don't know, I am doing an MA in Fashion Retail at the London College of Fashion (I just found out that Jimmy Choo is a former graduate!!!). My campus is located right in the heart of downtown London, and so far I love it! My first assignment was to walk down Regent Street (one of London's most notorious shopping districts) and evaluate the stores based on the level of customer service they provided...it also gave me the opportunity to do some major shopping of my own! 

Aside from school and shopping, I have also gone to some amazing museums, my favorite being the Victoria and Albert museum (this museum is entirely dedicated to fashion). An amazing exhibit of ball gowns from the 1950's to 2011 were on display...so glamorous!

If you thought your fall wardrobe was finally stocked...think again! A girl's wardrobe is never complete, especially with the new pieces we just received from Maison Scotch! They both fall in the essential fall colour pallet, and thus are perfect additions to your closet!!

We're all brimming with excitement over Ugg's latest bootie: the "Jamison." With its platform front, cone shaped heel, and whip stitch detailing, these booties are the perfect mix of high fashion looks and "real life" wearability...fabulous!!!
