New Graham & Spencer

Graham & Spencer is a favourite here at Yu Fashion; the clothes are absolutely beautiful, and the grouping we just received is no exception. 

First of all, I love all the Missoni-like printed tops; the shapes are perfect...flowy, but not too baggy! The combination of the pale pink and grey is so pretty, and will go perfectly with skinny jeans, and a leather jacket. Also, the print is really fun and not too "in your face"... so you can wear it over and over again (without others noticing). 

Included in this shipment are some great, little black dresses! The first is a one-shoulder dress, which is a huge trend right now. This dress is extremely flattering, and perfect for any party!  The second dress pictured, is a snug, black dress with a suede insert. I think is an unexpected twist, which makes it a standout piece. This look is HUGE for fall as seen at Celine and Chloe...everything from t-shirts to dresses are being made in leather this season. The last dress has the most beautiful detailing! The neckline is a laser-cut design...truly unique!!! I have never seen anything like this.  Also, the studded skirt is sooo much fun...fit for a glam rocker!

For those of you who can't wear wool or cashmere (poor things)........there is Charlotte to the rescue. Using super soft cottons, or cotton/silk blends, they are the perfect little cardigan for you!! Charlotte Tarantola graduated from F.I.T in NYC in 1989, and staying true to herself, the inspiration for her line is designing things that make her (and us) smile. Her sweaters often use unconventional color combinations, and have lots of innovative treatments. Seeing that "print on print" is such a huge trend right now, these cardigans would be fabuolous paired with a graphic tee, or a pretty, little printed silk tank. Any way you choose to wear it, you can't go wrong.  Sorry, not all sweaters are posted...........you will have to come in and take a look, once you try them on, you will be hooked!!!

Ahhh.....more Splendid has arrived!! If you're a fan, you may be in trouble!!! The fabrics are always so yummy...like you're not wearing anything. As always, expect great fabrics, and basics such as the Vintage Whisper tank (my personal fav), theWhisper Button Wrap in Lead (so cozy), the Metallic Shadow Stripe Deep Cowl (basic with a twist, which we received in light grey), the Vintage Whisper Oversized Top (so comfy, and cool) we received this in two shades of grey, the Light Jersey Open Cardigan in Black, Charcoal, Heather Grey, and Oatmeal. Lastly, the Rugby Stripe Cardigan in Navy/Black, and Brown/Black.

Ella Moss founder & designer Pamella Protzel Scott has done it again!!! Staying true to her design vision, she decribes her collection as "flowy femininity with the comfort of a t-shirt". What's Mabel Wearing????

This week Mabel is wearing the Winter Kate 'Lola' Cardigan, which is layered over the Lauren Moshi 'Butterfly' tee. To complete the look, Mabel has on a Chocolate Brown Chan Luu scarf. I love the combination of red and brown... perfect for fall!

OMG!!! We just received a super cool sequin tee; it looks great paired with your favourite chinos, or denim. How cool and unexpected would it be it worn casually, going on a lunch date, or to the movies??? The list is endless on what, and where you can go with this little top. The sequin skirt would be fun worn with an over-sized boyfriend tee, and booties...throw on a little denim jacket, or leather motorcycle jacket and you're set!!! Of course, you could go all out glam with each piece if the occasion calls for that!!! The final piece in this particular grouping is the super stretchy, corduroy riding pant...the perfect bottom for our inevitable winter :( Wear this pant with a boyfriend t-shirt, oversized sweater coat, and a fabulous pair of boots, and you're good to go...at least you'll be freezing in style!!!

NEW ODD MOLLY!!!

We just received another delivery of Odd Molly. It's one of our favourite European designers, conceived in March 2002 by Karin Jimfelt-Ghatan, and word artist Per Holknekt after only a brief 30-minute coffee. Using Love-Courage-Integrity as the cornerstone of design, it brings forward a fabulous & positive message to women.

"The greatest Odd Molly inspiration will always be you. So expect alot."

The first piece pictured is the "Saga Shimmer Vest" in Dark Brown, which actually is more of a rich plum. Second is the "Lacie Tee" in Vintage Chalk (it's so cute), and third the "Peppery 3/4 Sweater" in Vintage Chalk (with great hand knit details). Finally, the fourth image is the "A-One Silk Camisole" in Vintage Chalk (we also have the cami in Vintage Powder and Dark Indigo).

EQUIPMENT SHIRTS HAVE ARRIVED!!

Yes, the shirt is back with a vengence!!! French Vogue editor, Carine Roiteld's husband, Christian Restoin, is the creative force behind this great shirt company initially started in 1979. The relaunch saw Barney's as the first major retailer to sign on, and now we all have the opportunity to own one of these!!! The signature shirt is a super sexy take on a menswear shirt, only taken up a notch using washed silk, and of course the signature 2 flap pockets. This would be great with skinnys, or the boyfriend Vince dress pant. I love how it can be dressed up or down without having to look like you tried too hard!! We received the Vintage Green, Black, and Nature White.

Chan Luu Animal Scarves!

We just received new Chan Luu Animal Print Scarves! I am obsessed with Chan Luu scarves; they drape so beautifully, and are super cozy. I have quite a collection already, and the leopard print is my newest addition! They are soo pretty! Animal print is a huge trend for fall (always, actually), and a scarf is the perfect way to add a little animal print to your wardrobe without going overboard. Seriously, if you try one of these scarves on, you will leave the store with it... too addicting!!!

What's Mabel Wearing????

It is a double dosage of "What's Mabel Wearing????" seeing as Miss Mabel has been MIA recently. We decided to do two fun outfits, that are a little more fashion forward.

The first outfit: Mabel is wearing a Plastic Island Tweed Blazer with the Lauren Moshi "Pony" Tee underneath. For jewels, she is wearing two Jocelyn Kennedy double stranded necklaces, one in pearl and one in crystal! Mabel is definitely channeling Rachel Zoe in this outfit, all she needs is bell bottoms and tranny shoes... she will be good to go!

The second outfit reminds me of "Sex and the City." I love this Shoshanna purple leopard dress; we added the "Brave" skinny studded belt, and a Claudia bib necklace. The studded belt adds some edge to the dress and makes it a little more casual. If I were Mabel, I would wear this with an oversized boyfriend blazer for a fun night out! 

New Rich and Skinny!!!

We just received 4 new Rich and Skinny styles: the "Sleek" in Smokestone, the "Hutton Trouser" in Carbon, the "Cargo Legging" in Neptune, and the "Legacy" in Black Velvet (not pictured)! I love the Smokestone color, perfect for casual, and easily dressed up with jewels. The "Hutton Trouser" is super trendy, and yes, the wide leg is back! I would wear these pants with a t-shirt, cropped jacket, and a Chan Luu scarf. The "Cargo Legging" in Neptune, looks a bit vintage due to the colour of the stitching. They are also much stretchier than the previous shipment of Cargo Leggings. The "Legacy" in Velvet, are great for a night out, and will be perfect for future holiday parties. Velvet is a big trend for fall, so you know Yu Fashion will have you covered! New Joie!

We just received a new shipment of Joie! Pictured above are the "Hazel" and "Galina" Tanks. The "Hazel" Tank is available in Fir, a beautiful champagne color; it will pair perfectly with all the camel tones for fall. The "Galina" is absolutely genius; it is a sequin tank with a sheer silk overlay...smart because it subdues the bling of the sequins (making it appropriate for day), and the overlay prevents the sequins from catching on everything!! There is much more that came in this shipment, including Joie Cargo Pants...swing by and look!!!

New Nougat!!!

We just received a great fashion forward charcoal Nougat Cardi the silk "feather" detailing is so current (think Elizabeth & James). I would pair this with a Lauren Moshi tee, cargo pants, cool boots to give it a edgy vibe, or go all out glamorous and wear it with a great little top, earrings, and your favorite pants (red lips would be a must).

We also received two new Nougat dresses!! Perfect Party Dresses! The detailing is impeccable on both!!!

New pieces from Claudia have finally arrived. I know that most of you are big fans, and the new bracelets and necklaces that came in will not disappoint. More Mackage

More beautiful coats from Mackage have arrived! I know that we all want this warm fall weather to last, but winter is right around the corner. These coats will definitely keep you warm and toasty during the cold winter months. The Felicia coat ( pictured on the right), which we received in grey, is a great length and even has a hood to keep you extra warm. My favorite, the asymmetrical fur trimmed puffer coat ( pictured on the left), has fantastic bell shaped sleeves and you gotta love the fur!

7 For All Mankind

One of our favourite denim lines has come out with more "must-haves". We just opened a few new styles that will not disappoint!!! A new body is the Skinny bootcut in Rinsed Indigo. It's a super stretchy 9 oz. denim with minimal detailing and clean pockets (Aren't we all tired of that bling??). The fit is classic and fitted through the thighs to the knees; don't be afraid of the fit.....the denim really is so, so stretchy!!!

 

The other pants we received are a great basic we just got replenished-the black ponte Gwenevere is a fall staple. The fabric is thicker than a legging, so there is no show-through on the areas you would want more coverage (you all know what I mean)!!!

There is also a Kimmie straight leg, again made and named for the super curvy and sexy Kim Kardashian. If you have curves like Kim, don't despair, as 7 For All Mankind thinks of everyone!!!

NEW VINCE!!!

We just received a GREAT shipment of Vince in the store today!!! Today we received the cuffed boyfriend pants, cropped silk tee, ribbed cashmere turtleneck (in Black and Heather Cinder) and a yummy, cozy variegated striped sweater coat. The boyfriend pants look super cool with booties, the silk tee is awesome on (don't be afraid of the shorter length), and of course, the Vince sweaters are the BEST!!! Come in and take a look.
