Jewellery is the ultimate "finisher" to any great outfit. Whether it be a pair of earrings, necklace or bracelet, the RIGHT choices can elevate an otherwise basic ensemble; we CANNOT stress enough its overall importance in completing one's look and/or brand.
As pictured, Tolani, a brand known for their worldly prints and boho-inspired tunics and dresses, has been made that much more exciting by a simple pairing of jewels from local artist, Sarah Peyrow of Shakti Jewelry. Using carefully sourced gemstones and charms from around the globe, these layered necklaces add to the overall feel of the outfit, without them, the dress is still perfectly lovely, but with them, even more so.
Mixing jewellery from various brands is a great way to curate one's own unique style; however, it remains important to stay within a similar framework for thematic consistency. In the picture above, we've chosen necklaces by Jenny Bird, The Right Hand Gal and Jugar 'N Spice. Although all "different", they each contain elements similar enough to each other, in this case choice of metal and use of pearl and bone, that the overall look compliments and "goes". Further touches such as LLR Vintage's "Hopeless Dreamer Stiff Brim Hat" and B-Low the Belt's "Baby Bri Bri" give the overall look added polish.
Jewellery then, and accessories as a whole, for their dual purpose of finishing off an outfit and as an individual way of storytelling, is a MAJOR component of personal style, one in which we should revel in and take great pleasure in exhibiting.
