Helloooooo H Brand!!!

We're very excited to welcome a new member to the Yu family: H Brand! This gorgeous ready to wear line is designed in Australia by sisters, Kate Strahorn and Edwina Horseman. They started the line in 2011 with a philosophy that "appreciates the impact of simplicity". The garments are made from a cashmere and fur blend that combines "modish design and sharp tailoring with luxurious fibers". We've received several of their pieces, but I'm currently LOVING the ultra soft vests!!!

The "Grace Rabbit Fur Vest" is one of my favorite pieces so far this season. It would look fabulous over a silky Joie blouse, dark AG skinnies, and sky high suede pumps. For added pizazz I, of course, would add a sparkly statement necklace :)

"Audra Rabbit Fur Vest" in Khaki

 

I'm also COVETING the "Audra Rabbit Fur Vest" in Khaki. We're calling it the "perfect travel companion," perfect dressed up, and/or down. Throw it over a classic sheath dress for a touch of the unexpected, or pair it with a linen tee, skinny jeans, and wedge runners for an effortless, casual ensemble.

What's Mabel Wearing???

Mabel has a hot date tonight and wants to try out a new look for the occasion! She has decided to mix a few trends together: grunge, glam, and biker chic.

 She has layered Vince's "Seamed V-Neck Sweater" in Heather Charcoal over Equipment's silky
"Buffalo Check Reese Blouse" in Spicy Orange. Line's "Huntsman" leather jacket in Caviar is a great addition to this ensemble, although she opted to wear it without the cozy, detachable, fur collar for fear it would overwhelm her neckline. Mabel tops the whole outfit off with Rebecca Minkoff 's "Mab Tote Mini" in Elephant and one of our new crystal statement necklaces, the PERFECT finishing touch!

Velvet: Racy Lace

I LOVE lace...anytime, anywhere; however, it seems especially fitting as part of fall/winter fashion. Velvet's most recent delivery was jam packed with lacy options, each one more beautiful than the last....how's a girl to choose???

"Deena Skirt" in Steel

I think the "Deena Skirt" in Steel is a working girl's dream...classic pencil silhouette, comfy elastic waistband, and gorgeous lace detail. Imagine how beautiful this skirt would be paired with a classic button down shirt and pointed toe pumps, or, with a fitted turtleneck, opaque tights, and knee high boots!

"Elimina Dress" in Black

 

If you're searching for that perfect LBD this holiday season, search no further...Velvet's "Elimina Stretch Lace Dress" in Black is absolutely, positively THE one for you!!! Its slightly scooped neckline, 3/4 length sleeves, and tonal slip lining offers you a touch of conservatism mixed in with a whole lot of sexiness!!! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!!

Equipment: Silky Gems

Equipment blouses are definitely an addiction around here. Whether they're worn on their own with your favourite skinnies or under a must-have jacket of the moment, these silky gems are sure to bring you months and months of pleasure.

How amazing is the "Evening Roses Liam Tee" in Black? This classic crewneck blouse has been modernized with a graphic floral skull, front and center. For added edge, pair this top with leather skinnies, peep toe booties, and GIANT-sized hoops; for something a little less so, I recommend a boyfriend blazer, dark skinnies, ankle boots, and a Chan Luu scarf. LOVE.

I ADORE the "Buffalo Check Reese Blouse" in Spicy Orange. SOOOOO cool. This slightly oversized boyfriend blouse is meant for the most fashion forward of fashionistas; I see it partially tucked into a pair of distressed skinnies and topped off with a cognac leather jacket and ankle booties, oh, and the piece de resistance: a big SPARKLY necklace!

AG: Fashion Skinnies

Though once thought of as a quick trend, the skinny anything is here to stay. When paired with a long tunic or chunky sweater, this "fad" really isn't as intimidating as some would think. AG's most recent delivery of skinnies prove that this silhouette can be both practical and stylish!

"Harlow Moto Legging" in Sulfar Smoked Kale

I'm OBSESSED with the "Harlow Moto Legging" in Sulfar Smoked Kale! This super stretch skinny with two front patch pockets and zippered ankle detail is beyond cool!!! I love it paired with a silk Equipment blouse and pointed toe pumps, but think it would be equally amazing with a chunky turtleneck sweater and motorcycle boots. This is a definite MUST-HAVE for the fashionista with everything!!!

"Waxed Coated Absolute Legging" in Presley

I'm also SUPER excited about the "Waxed Coated Absolute Legging" in Presley. I love the textured feel of these faux finished skinnies; the classic five pocket styling, second skin fit, tonal stitching, and nickel hardware accents keep these looking edgy and timeless at the same time. For day, I like these paired with a leather jacket, linen tee, and ankle booties; for evening, I love them with a feminine blouse, pointed toe pumps, and, of course, a statement necklace!

Britt's Must Have!!!

We've been SOOOO busy with new stock lately that I haven't had a chance to fill you in on some of my favourite must-haves!!! I should warn you, there are MANY!!!

The one item I've been dying to get my hands on most is Rebecca Taylor's "Melange Laura Blazer" in Grey/ Black. We received it awhile ago, and I haven't been able to stop thinking about it since! It reminds me of a cool 80's bomber jacket, but with a feminine flair, truly TO DIE FOR!!!

My favorite aspect of the jacket is definitely the leather detailing around the collar; I love how it gives it an edgy yet sophisticated vibe. The peplum in the back is also adorable, and lightens up the edginess of the blazer. This topper is also extremely comfortable and warm, perfect for this time of year!

For a fabulous outfit, pair this blazer over a Lauren Moshi graphic tee or Joie blouse half tucked into a pair of skinnies.

What's Mabel Wearing???

Mabel has been hard at work studying for midterms. Now that she's finally done, she's going out for dinner with friends to celebrate!!! For the occasion, she's decided to wear Rebecca Taylor's fabulous "Python Jacket" in Stone and "Leo Sequin Tank" in Calla Lily, and, to top it all off, some sparkly gems by Chan Luu and Catherine Popesco in addition to Rebecca Minkoff's "Cupid Mini" in Plum.

Splendid: Two Tone

"Cashmere Blend Colorblock Sweater" in Grey/Cobalt

From the looks of our deliveries of late, colourblocking is STILL a popular trend! Splendid's "Cashmere Blend Colorblock Sweater," available in Grey/Cobalt and Grey/Black is a very wearable interpretation. This knit with its rolled neck, cuffs, and hem, not to mention the drop shoulder detail and dolman sleeves is perfect for everyday wear. An added bonus? Even with its cashmere component, this sweater is machine washable...yay!!!

Splendid: Python

"Vintage Python Legging(s)"

Splendid keeps churning them out, and we keep lapping them up...just in are their "Vintage Python Legging(s)" in Cadet, a purple-tinged grey, perfect for that chunky knit you have lying around ;)

For a slightly dressier ensemble, I'd pair these with an oversized turtleneck, leather jacket, and motorcycle boots.

Back by popular demand is the "Leather Sleeve Drape Jacket" in Dark Slate, previously received in Black. This beautiful jacket is both sophisticated and chic, with leather sleeves offsetting the richly textured, wool blend interior. This is the jacket for that stylish mom on the go!!!

Vince's "Bi Colorblock Crew Neck Sweater" in Silver/Black/Military is a classic design with a modern twist. This sweater with its generous fit, dolman sleeves, and soft hi-lo hemline is ideal for everyday wear; I love it styled over a heather grey tee and leather leggings (as pictured above), for added pizazz, I'd also add a great BIG statement necklace.

"Fine Gauge Turtleneck" in Black

How fabulous is the "Fine Gauge Turtleneck" in Black? This lightweight, easy fit sweater is ideal to wear on it's own, or layered under all your fabulous fall jackets. The not too fitted neck, drop shoulder accent, and split seam at the hip all contribute to this turtleneck's appeal.

It's super exciting for me whenever we receive anything silky, especially silky basics! Vince's most recent delivery has some of my faves thus far...

"Double Layer Tank" in Coastal/Black

I HAD to have the "Double Layer Tank" in Coastal/Black! I know it's not for everyone, but I've always loved navy and black together; I think there's something so chic and sophisticated about that particular combination. This light and airy tank is perfect as a stand alone piece, or as a layering one. For now, I see it under a tweed jacket with skinny jeans and boots, but how gorgeous would it be under a striped blazer and shorts once the weather gets warmer???

"Double Layer Blouse" in Almond/White

I love the "Double Layer Blouse" in Almond/White...SO simple, SO perfect! This top composed of double layered silk in contrasting colour couldn't be easier to wear!!! It's floaty silhouette allows for wear with all your favourite skinnies, whether they be denim or otherwise. I see it worn under a fur vest, dark skinny jeans, and cognac riding boots...very cool!!!

"Sheena Sequin Jacket" in Gunmetal

I'm totally OBSESSED with Ella Moss' "Sheena Sequin Jacket" in Gunmetal, obsessed!!! This slightly asymmetrical jacket with faux leather collar is made entirely of sequined mesh, SO fab! My favourite outfits are always those where dressy and casual elements collide, sooooo obviously, I'm dying to see this jacket paired with a graphic tee, skinny cargos, and ankle booties, OR with a silky tank, distressed boyfriend jeans, and pointed toe pumps...perfect outfit for an evening affair!

"Hangover Central Malibu Sweats" in Grey

Do any of you ladies like to party, and feel like you need a pair of sweats for the "day after"??? These hangover sweats are perfect for those days, days when getting "dressed up" is simply OUT OF THE
QUESTION. They're really great for lounging around, or for when you decide to have a "comfy"
kinda day!

 We love how amazingly soft and comfortable these sweatpants are, much more so than regular sweatpants! They're also slimmer in the leg, so as not to look too over-sized and sloppy. 

Along with these particular sweatpants, we also received the "Loved" variation in Daisy. We predict you'll have a difficult time getting yourself out of either of these amazing sweatpants!

You'll want everyday to be a "LAZY DAY"!!!

We "Heart" Wildfox!!!

We LOVE Wildfox, ESPECIALLY Wildfox sweaters!!! What better way to promote our love for the line, then to wear a Wildfox sweater with a heart on it???

The new "Brigitte Heart Sweater" is a definite MUST-HAVE!!! We love how soft and comfy the sweater is, and adore its roomy body. The sparkly heart in the center is not to shabby either...lol!

This knit would look fabulous with distressed boyfriend jeans, ankle booties, and a Chan Luu scarf...LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!

I guess it's a "BASICS" kind of day! We just received a new delivery of James Perse, and nobody does basics better!!!

We love the new "Camper Stripe Wool Tee" in Black/Camper. It's super comfortable, and we really love the relaxed, boxy fit; it's the perfect "throw and go" top!!!

"Shian" Top in Caviar

Joie's "Shian" top in Caviar is out of this world GORGEOUS!!! The embroidered lace gives this peplum top a level of feminine durability. I love the idea of this top with cropped skinny pants, coloured pumps, and a great BIG statement necklace!!!

Joie: Animal Party

I LOVE a good print, especially a good animal print!!! It's the quickest way to inject some "life" and edge to an outfit.

Joie's "Rain B Animal Printed Tank" in Caviar is SO much fun! It's the perfect blend of snake and leopard print, all in a black and white colour palette. Pair it with a fitted blazer and skinny pants for a work appropriate look, or under a moto inspired leather jacket, distressed skinnies, and ankle boots for an edgier look.

If you're fortunate enough to have a fur vest lying around, then Joie's "Hanelle Reptile Printed Blouse" in Mercury may be a MUST!!! The subtle tone on tone print, soft floaty silhouette, and longer sleeves are perfect compliments to the luxe look of a fur :)

I LOVE a great basic, especially a multifunctional/multipurpose one. Just in from 7FAM is the "Slim Western Shirt w/ Pocket" in Silverlake Indigo and "Skinny" pant in Knit Black.

This classic button-up has a slightly slimmer, more feminine silhouette. I like the top on its own worn with skinny jeans, but love it layered under a textured or patterned jacket with a fabulous statement necklace. Another fave look is pairing this "casual" top with something a little unexpected, think sequin skirt or printed "pajama" pants.

"Skinny" in Knit Black

7FAM's "Skinny" in Knit Black is a perennial favourite. This second skin fit in double knit ponte is perfect dressed up, and/or down. For a casual look, I like it paired with a leather jacket, printed tee, and moto boots; for something dressier, a cropped blazer, silky tank, and pointed toe pumps is perfect! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE these pants!!!

What's Mabel Wearing???

Mabel is going CRAZY over all the new jackets we've been getting in lately. She loves them all, but her absolute FAVORITE is Rebecca Taylor's "Tweed Peplum Jacket" in Black and White. She looks incredible in it, especially with Lauren Moshi's Tweety Bird "Frankie" tee, Rebecca Minkoff's "Mab Tote Mini" in Elephant, and Chan Luu's black cashmere scarf and an assortment of semi-precious and crystal necklaces!

We are sooo in love with what Mabel is wearing! All she needs now, is a fabulous pair of skinnies and our black leather Ash "Bowie Wedges."

Mabel looks SOOOO cool, and will definitely impress the family this evening at her Thanksgiving dinner. We think she may even make a few family members a little bit jealous!!! ;)

REBECCA TAYLOR!!!

Rebecca Taylor has impressed us yet again with her gorgeous silky tops! We're all having great difficulties deciding which ones to get!!!

We're absolutely OBSESSED with the "Short Sleeve Tee with Nailheads" in Panna!!! It's flowy, elegant, and super flattering! The nailhead and rhinestone accents give it a somewhat edgy vibe, VERY cool!!!

  This top would look amazing with a pair of black skinny pants and heeled booties!

We are also in LOVE with the "Diamond Printed Baseball Tee" in Crystal Multi!!! We adore the feminine spin on the classic baseball tee. The airiness of this top, coupled with its hi-lo hemline, makes it extremely flattering and easy to wear.

This top is perfect for "dressing up" a casual look ensemble; we can definitely see it worn with a pair of  boyfriend jeans and pointed toe pumps.
