What's Mabel Wearing???
You've probably been wondering why we haven't mentioned Mabel's boyfriend in a while...well, we're very sorry to report that our girl Mabel no longer found him worthy of her affection, and sent the poor boy running! At first, she was really confident with her decision to break-up, but now she's starting to regret it, and is feeling really depressed. We very easily encouraged Mabel to purchase a new outfit hoping this bit of retail therapy would help boost her mood, and bring her confidence back up. She picked out Rebecca Taylor's "Neon Tweed" blazer, Charlotte Tarantola's "Crochet Lace" sweatshirt in Cream, and two Catherine Popesco necklaces. We really hope these bright and cheery pieces do the trick and get Mabel back to her usual self.
ATTENTION ALL MEN OUT THERE: MABEL IS BACK ON THE MARKET!!!

Line Knitwear Cont'd
Also in from Line Knitwear are some pieces perfect for those first few days of spring, when all you're going to want to do is throw on a light, casual "knit." We received both the "Idealist" linen sweater in Lily/Caviar and Varadero/Starfish as well as the "Gemini" tank in Lily/Caviar. All of these pieces are a linen/rayon blend, great worn as is for a nice spring day, or layered up for a cooler one.

Are you starting to see the end of winter yet?!?

My favourite is the "Ellipser" sweater in Sunkissed...pair it under a great leather jacket, skinnies, and boots for a great gloomy day "pick me up." Who couldn't use a spot of sunshine?!?

Ella Moss: Maxi
LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE this dress!!! Ella Moss' "Santa Fe Maxi Dress" in Violet brings to mind long summer days spent on the patio with your nearest and dearest, talking about nothing and everything at the same time!!!
"Sante Fe Maxi Dress" in Violet |
"Sante Fe Maxi Dress" Rear View |
Throw on a pair of gladiator sandals and oversized sunnies for the quintessential summer look...CAN'T. WAIT. FOR. SUMMER.

Ella Moss: Cream Blazer
"Mazzy Blazer" in Cream |
We all know that a classic, black blazer is something every fashionista should have hanging in her closet, but what about a cream one??? Ella Moss' "Mazzy Blazer" in said colour is a fashion lover's dream...whether worn over a basic tank and jeans for a casually pulled-together look, or over a chic cocktail dress for a touch of the unexpected, this blazer will definitely set you apart from the rest!!!
Ella Moss: Lace
I LOVE lace...always have, always will, so imagine my excitement when the following two beauties from Ella Moss were unveiled:
"Josephina Short Sleeve Top' received in Black |
"Hannah Bell Sleeve Top" in Black |
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE these!!! They'll be a nice change from Joie's "Elvia/Fanny" tops, my forever favourite!
Splendid
"Capri Stripe Henley" received in Julep (Mint) |
Just in from Splendid is the "Capri Stripe Henley" in Julep...the perfect jeans and t-shirt shirt!!! Wouldn't this also be adorbs with cut-off denim shorts and flip flops in the summer???
7FAM: Vintage
7FAM has launched a new branch of their brand called "Vintage 7 Collection" where each garment is "hand-crafted by people who live & breath denim. Every stitch, button and wash is true to (their) DNA and embraces the concept of original blues." Each and every single pair of jeans has a beautiful, worn in, weathered look with holes and rips placed in the most perfect of positions. The following are some stand outs thus far:
"Josefina" in Rich Dark Destroyed |
"Skinny" in Authentic Oceanside |
Throw either of these on with a clean, white tank for a timeless summer look, OR for an edgier feel, try a Lauren Moshi tee with your favourite leather jacket, and boots.

Britt's Must Have!!!
For those who don't know me, I tend to obsess over the new stock we get in CONSTANTLY!!! There is always something I see that I must have, and typically I will not rest until I have it. Ridiculous I know, but I'm positive I'm not the only one out there with this problem. I think the world refers to us as material girls? Lol.
At this point in time, I have my eyes set on this gorgeous Lauren Moshi chiffon scarf!!! I'm truly obsessed with all the skulls, and LOVE how similar it looks to "the" Alexander McQueen scarf, but this one has a tiger's head mixed into the print thus making its own original statement. I strongly believe it will turn heads, and have people all over asking where it's from. What's that familiar sound I hear? It's the sound of my wallet calling my name again!
*Fair warning, by the time this blog is posted, we may be sold out!!!

Wilt
SOOO...BASICALLY we've received new BASICS by "Wilt," and think you'll all love them!!! We got in the "Shrunken High Low" long sleeve tee in Black Heather, the "Slouchy Boyfriend Tee" in Key Lime, the "Back Slant" tee in Melon and the "Skinny Tee" in Dune. All of these are perfect go-to pieces for any casual outing, and are in colors not exclusive to either spring or winter. My personal favorite top from this grouping is the "Shrunken High Low" tee. I am obsessed with the color, and the fact that it is so simple and effortlessly chic. I can't help but picture it with one of our Chan Luu scarves, a pair of skinny jeans, and some great boots!

What's Mabel Wearing???
Too much animal print? We don't think so! We definitely think Mabel has got it right! Because these two prints are quite soft and subtle, they work really well together, and don't overwhelm the outfit. Mabel's cheetah-licious look consists of Charlotte's "Mixed Animal Print Cardi" in in Black, a V-Neck Lauren Moshi tee, and Chan Luu's grey and black animal print scarf; she also has on a Claudia pearl and crystal necklace to help complete her look.
Don't you think she looks P-u-u-u-r-r-r-d-y?!?
Joie: Luxe Basics
As you saw earlier, we received some great silkies from Joie this week , but also included were some of our fave basics: the "Russell" received in Porcelain and Dark Grey, and the "Teague" received in Bright Rose and Porcelain. If something weightier is more to your liking, we also received the "Mirrin" knit sweater in Heather Antique White. These pieces would ALL be great additions to your wardrobe...perfect for layering or simply on their own.

Joie: Silk, Silk, Silk
Two amazing silk tops were received from Joie today: the "Jaylene" in New Moon and "Watson" in Mushroom. Both these tops are perfect pairings for your favourite jeans, or with your best dress pants. The floral pattern on the "Jaylene" top makes it an ideal topper for capris when the weather starts to warm up, but for right now, I recommend wearing it with a leather jacket, jeans, and booties...the perfect mix of feminine and edge! The "Watson" top is the best...easy to dress up for work, yet easy enough to wear on an everyday basis; it looks fantastic paired with dark jeans, boots, and a HUMUNGOUS arm party!

Rebecca Taylor Goodies
I LOVE Rebecca Taylor...SO. MUCH. In addition to the "Leather Trim Blazer," there were soooooo many great tops in this delivery...seriously, how's a girl to choose??? The following is a very small sampling of the goodies received:
"Sleeveless Henley" in Sky |
"Static Print Blouse" in Black/Nude Combo |
If I had to choose, the "Static Print Blouse" would be my pick of the bunch; I love the bohemian vibe of the top, and think it would be unbelievable worn under a fur vest.
Rebecca Taylor: Blazer With A Twist
OMG...how fabulous is Rebecca Taylor's "Leather Trim Blazer" in Black?!? I love everything about it...everything!!! I adore the cropped length, peplum back, and bracelet length sleeve, not to mention the leather collar...what's not to love?
"Leather Trim Blazer" in Black |
Not only would this be great worn over a LBD, but it would be absolutely incredible layered over a Lauren Moshi tee and your favourite pair of skinnies, try it!!!
7FAM: Cropped
"Skinny Crop & Roll" in Gleaming Red Cast |
I love a cropped jean, have always loved them, and 7FAM's "Skinny Crop & Roll" in Gleaming Red Cast may be my favourite thus far. With its sewn in cuff and perfectly washed look, these will owe me NOTHING by summer's end!!!
7FAM: An Aqua Story
As mentioned in Paige's Pick, green in all it's varying shades (from mint to neon), will be a HUGE story moving forward, and 7FAM being at the forefront of denim design, was NOT going to let that trend pass them by! The following are some of their latest and greatest interpretations:
"Skinny" in Bright Aqua |
"Skinny" in Placement Floral Print |
I can't stop picturing the Placement Floral Print skinnies with a basic white tank and flip flops...how far away is summer???
7FAM: Basic
I was elated with the arrival of 7FAM's "Skinny" jeans in Nouveau New York. These are a mid-rise, medium rinse, second skin skinny...perfect worn with flats, or tucked into your favourite pair of boots.

Who couldn't use another pair of basics?!
Lauren Moshi
OMG...such an amazing day, we just received a HUGE shipment of everyone's favourite graphic tees by Lauren Moshi. Whether worn alone with leggings and boots, or layered under a leather jacket and skinnies, these tees should be a staple in everyone's wardrobe. The following are some of our top picks:
"April Polka Dot Bow Oversized Tee" in Charcoal |
"Bayle Mini Lips Pocket Tee" in Heather Grey |
"Tylie Foil Skull Flower Draped Tee" in Off White |
In addition to these, we also received replenishments of past favourites:
"April Mini Star Oversized Tee" in Charcoal |
"Hazel Color Vine Skull Fringe Sweater" in White |
Hurry in, these NEVER last long!
* For a quick style update, swap the leather jacket out for a tweed one...the "proper" feel of it mixed with the edgy graphic of a Lauren Moshi tee ALWAYS makes for an interesting combination!

Charlotte Party
We're soooo excited over Charlotte Tarantola's latest delivery!!! This collection has everything from stripes, to florals, to colour blocking, and of course leopard print!!! Honestly, there's something here for everyone. The following are some of our top picks:
The "Leopard Intarsia Pullover" in Black and "Neon Boucle Jacket" in Icing are my absolute faves...LOVE, LOVE, LOVE them both!!! I think the former would be amazing paired with either a leather skirt and/or pants...add a statement necklace (or two!) and you've got yourself a fabulous outfit. The boucle jacket with it's neon trim is such a fun interpretation of a classic; throw this on over a basic tank, skinnies, and a pair of ankle boots for an easy, go anywhere look.

What's Mabel Wearing???
Mabel's trip to Vegas took a BIG TOLE on her wallet!!! As a result, she is forcing herself to follow a strict spending budget that will hopefully bring her funds back up to par. Even though she is experiencing a tad bit of financial depression, and feeling extremely sorry for herself, she's looking for any excuse to SHOP SOME MORE! She has very eagerly dipped into our sale inventory, and found herself some great and affordable pieces. Mabel is wearing Free People's "Clarissa Cord" button up shirt in Red Combo, a graphic "Frankie" Lauren Moshi tee, an assortment of beaded Chan Luu necklaces, a berry colored Chan Luu Scarf, and Rebecca Minkoff's "Mac Daddy" bag in Chocolate. We all agree her look is effortlessly boho and would be great to wear for a casual week day.
Mabel's wallet may have shrunk, but her passion for fashion is bigger then ever!

Paige's Pick: Upcoming Trends of 2013
We all love to stay current and "in" with the latest, greatest, and "got to have this now" trends, so I thought what better topic to discuss this week then some of 2013's (and my) favorite, new trends! Some of the biggest trends this season will be Coral and Green in terms of color, sheer tops, leather, neon, and graphic Black and White combinations. I chose to focus on my top 3 favorite upcoming styles.
The first trend I chose is Green. The color itself is so refreshing and different from anything that has been "in" over the last few years. Surprisingly, it is an easy color to incorporate into your existing wardrobes; it can be as bold or as neutral as you want it to be, which makes it an easy pairing with all your favorite denim. The items I chose are two of my favorites from the store: Vince's "Silk Dolman Tee" in Lime and Velvet's "Magic" dress in Heather Lime. If you don't feel bold enough to wear an entire t-shirt or dress in this color, but still want to try the color out, I recommend Rebecca Minkoff's "Woven Mac Daddy" (pictured above). Whether you choose to buy an entire outfit dedicated to Green, or just want to add a pop of color to your look is up to you, but no matter what, a hit of Green will surely enliven your wardrobe...that's for sure!
The second trend I chose was the sheer look. This look has become popular over time, but will be hitting an ultimate high in 2013. Sheer anything can add interest, boldness, and uniqueness to any outfit you choose. I'm currently obsessed with Velvet's "Ceta" top in Black paired with Chan Luu's "Sequin Bra," and the "Raine" blouse in Baltic also by Velvet. What's nice about the sheer look is that a tank top or bandeau will easily do the trick for something underneath; it's up to you how risque you want to make it. Both these looks are classy, unique, and fun, criterias making them totally obsessed worthy!
The third trend I chose is one that we have yet to receive in store. I was super excited about this look, so much so that I decided to jump the gun and show you a preview of what we'll be receiving shortly! The trend I'm talking about is Black and White. Black and white, as we all know, have gone together for years, so what's so different about this upcoming season you might ask? Now, rather than you having to put the pieces together yourself, the two colors come together, particularly in pants. We'll be receiving a shipment of graphically patterned black and white jeans from our favorite designer, 7FAM. Make sure to keep up with the blog so you know when to dash in and try out this very trendy look!

Wildfox Joy
It's ALWAYS exciting around here when we receive anything from Wildfox. It may have something to do with the fact that they make the coziest pieces EVER!!! The following are some of our current faves:
"LA Skyline Baggy Beach Jumper" in Ceramic White |
"Prairie Rose Baggy Beach Jumper" in Ghost Blue |
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the latter...soooooo pretty!!! Wouldn't it be adorable paired with short shorts and ankle boots?!? I think so!!!
Velvet: Casual Chic
A Velvet blog cannot be completed without mentioning their great, casual pieces; after all, they do make some of the best around! In addition to classic tees and tanks, they've also put out a series of nautical inspired tops in brilliant new colours.
"Millicent" Tee in Tide |
"Minerva" Tee in Neon Pink |
How fun would these tops be with your favourite pair of denim shorts?!?
