Tucked away in a sleepy neighbourhood east of downtown Edmonton, the Little Brick Cafe & General Store will have you smiling from ear to ear as soon as you step through their iconic bright red door.
Touting itself as a cafe, general store, and event space, the Little Brick is a local favourite. In particular, their breakfast menu (which is served all day-bonus!) caught our eye as we visited this charming "home".

The "Breakfast Sandwich" carried a light flavour while the "Potted French Toast" embraced its Cinnamon persona. However, the winner was the "Pine Haven Bacon & Eggs", an absolute delight for breakfast or brunch! Featuring thick cut bacon, soft-boiled farm eggs on toast, and an apple cider hollandaise sauce, it was an absolute flavour explosion for your taste buds!

The cafe itself is casual and a self-seating establishment; once you're ready to order, you head up to the counter and when the food is ready, it is brought to your table. Whilst waiting, you can indulge in their homemade baked goods, Alberta-roasted coffee, or browse the items for sale at the general store which includes unique products such as pineapple shot glasses and Bows & Arrows coffee.
The Little Brick Cafe & General Store is open from 8AM-4PM daily. As it can get quite busy, reservations are not permitted but it is definitely worth the wait. Tonight, we'll not only be dreaming about those "haven"-ly bacon & eggs, but also when our next trip to this quaint cafe will be!!!
